15.3 TRANSPORT-ITS IMPORTANCE :-
→ In the context of trade, transport involves carriage of goods from places of production to centres of distribution and sale, which may be within the country or abroad.
• Its Importance :-
(1) Trasnport plays an important role in the continuous supply of raw material to the industry and distribution of goods to ultimate consumers.
(2) Trasnport enables traders to adjust the supply of goods at different places accroding to changing demand from time to time.
15.4 ESSENTAILS OF A GOOD TRANDPORT SYSTEM :-
(1) It should be economical.
(2) It should be capable fo carrying goods as speedily as possible.
(3) The transport service should be avaiable regualarly as and when required.
(4) It should be operated by the properly skilled and efficient persons capable fo handling problems in emergecy.
(5) As far as possible, delivery of goods should be made at locations convenient to the receiver fo the goods.

15.9 WAREHOUSING :-
→ Warehousing refers to the storage fo goods on a large scale and as a specialised function.
→ In involves providing facilities for pereservation of goods in proper condition so as to prevent loss or damage, and making the goods avaiable to traders or dealers for sale.
• Types of Warehouses :-
(1) Banded Warehouses (locate near parts of imports).
(2) Public Warehouses.
(3) Private Warehouses.
